On the shelf this week is this amazing simple, elegant scheme for a bathroom renovation we have started! Stay tuned for all the behind scenes and stories on the JDZ Instagram page.
This project is a small bathroom renovation of a repeat lovely client of mine. It is a pretty awkward space, but I definitely know we can make it into something special. You will recognise a similar look and feel from our recent updated projects “Brichgrove” where we renovated the downstairs bathroom and laundry room. We planned the space and turned an ok bathroom that was dated, into a bathroom that is functional but also extremely beautiful. It has that WOW factor when you open the door! It was one of those amazing moments where the transformation was so great, when you opened the door to the bathroom you instantly got this amazing inspired feeling. Going to the master bathroom became an experience rather than just a functional space.
We are continuing the same three different tile elements through into this bathroom, just a completely different tone of colour. We are doing one feature wall as well as a feature chevron floor and then plain white matt walls surrounding to make the space feel bright and big. As this space is smaller than down stairs and a different shape we are going with a more shorter chevron style on the floor. All tap ware will be chrome but the highlight will be a pendants light over the vanity, in rose gold and titanium. This will highlight a beautiful oval charcoal sink sitting on a marble look vanity top.
Stay tuned to see how it goes and how it all comes together!
